Michael (Mike) Disney is the State Coordinator for the Partners for Fish and Wildlife (PFW) Program in Kansas, a role he has held since 2010. With over two decades of experience in wildlife conservation, Disney is a passionate advocate for habitat restoration and species conservation. He holds a Master's and Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology from Oklahoma State University. Disney's career began as a wildlife biologist in Arizona, where he served as the State Predator and Furbearer Biologist, managing hunt regulations and coordinating habitat restoration efforts. His expertise and commitment led him to join the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where he provides a collaborative approach to habitat conservation. As State Coordinator, Mike works closely with private landowners, local communities, and conservation partners to implement projects that benefit both wildlife and people on working lands. Under his leadership, the Kansas PFW Program coordinates the restoration of thousands of acres of wetlands and prairie across the state. The Kansas PFW Program promotes biodiversity by fostering strong partnerships and community involvement in conservation initiatives across Kansas.
