Celebrating the first 50 year and planning for the next.

Celebrating 50 years of the natural areas movement!

TELL your story & ENVISION the future

Let’s celebrate 50 years of protecting ecologically significant landscapes! Much has been accomplished - even if there is still so much more to do. However, it is important to take a moment, not only to reflect on how far we have come, but to envision where we hope to be in 2074.

Whether your story includes the early days of the natural areas movement, a success or challenge along the way, or your dream for the future; it is important to capture our history to inspire and motivate future generations!

Let’s use technology to record these important memories and dreams for the future! You may record your submission on your own using the guidelines below, or contact NAA and we will schedule a time to record your submission for you. Let us know how we can help! Questions? Contact Sarah Floyd, sfloyd@naturalareas.org.

TELL your story

For those of you who have contributed so much during the first 50 years, record your stories! There is so much we can learn from your experiences conserving and stewarding natural areas.

ENVISION the future

Help NAA build a digital time capsule. Record a brief video to share your vision for natural areas conservation in 2074.
