Ben Carlson is a Field Steward with The Nature Conservancy’s Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota chapter, working primarily to implement stewardship work on TNC preserves and partner lands in the Prairie-Forest Border Ecoregion of Central Minnesota. This work includes leading seasonal stewardship crews, conducting prescribed burns, controlling brush and invasive species, and harvesting prairie seed. Ben graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN, and has worked on various prairie stewardship and protection projects throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota over the past ten years.
