Jim Johannsen

Board Member


Jim is the Illinois State Director of The Conservation Fund, a national nonprofit organization that works to create innovative solutions to land conservation and community-based economic development. Jim works with public, nonprofit, and tribal partners across the state to protect land for open space, biodiversity, agricultural, and cultural preservation outcomes. He previously worked as Director of Land Conservation for Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation, a conservation last trust serving northwest Illinois. Jim holds a Master of Public Administration degree from University of Illinois-Springfield and a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in English and Religion from Augustana College.
