Darrell Bowman is Assistant Chief of Fisheries Management at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. With a B.S. Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Management, and a M.S. Degree in Zoology, Darrell dedicated 26 years of his life, so far, to conservation of natural resources. Darrell’s professional work history, as a fisheries biologist and administrator, includes proficiencies in starting new programs and conflict resolution in natural resource management. From 2015 through 2018, Darrell worked for the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission (ANHC) where he served as Deputy Director, Interim Director, and Director, and during this time, Darrell began his relationship with NAA. Currently, Darrell is working at Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, for the third time in his career overseeing several statewide fisheries programs. Darrell’s diverse career has also included employment with Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and the private sector. His professional affiliations include board leadership roles with the Arkansas Chapter of the American Fisheries Society and active participation in the American Fisheries Society national organization.
