Board Member

James Farmer is an assistant professor of human ecology in Indiana University’s Dept. of james-farmer-sq-sizedRecreation, Park, and Tourism Studies. His research focuses private land conservation, natural resource sustainability, and regenerative agriculture systems. James teaches a variety of natural resource focused courses, including ecosystem management, integrated resource management, and human health and natural environments. He serves on several committees for the Sycamore Land Trust, managed the IU Research and Teaching Preserve properties, and is currently stewarding Mt. Gilead Friends Retreat, a local nature preserve, with his family.
